HCPAC SOCIAL POSTS

PROJECT OVERVIEW

For this Project, I worked with HCPAC in Harrisburg to help design some social post for their facebook page. They were looking for templates for casting call announcements, student and volunteer spotlights, as well as a new a banner for there facebook page, and a banner to announce upcoming shows. These were made all in illustrator and then exported as assets to put into canva to make them templates.

To start the process, I began looking over their pitch to us and figuring out what I thought would be a good theme. They are a children and young adults performing arts center, and so they wanted the designs to be fun and friendly. I took a look at their logo and branding to get my inspirations going and then I made a mood board. I leaned heavily into all things performing arts and really wanted to focus on the playfulness of it. Things like spotlights, curtains, and broadway inspired fonts drew my attention.

I then went to my sketch book and roughly sketched out some ideas that I had.  The sketches then lead me into creating two different variations of these posts for them.

This is the first direction I presented. I focused really on their branding colors and elements that gave the sense of backstage experiences. I created these tickets and used them throughout each post to make each post more unified. As well as keeping consistent branding and using similar fonts. That don’t stray off their style.
This is the second direction that I presented that they ended up going with. They liked the playfulness of it, and how it kept their branding intact. I chose to keep the ticket aspect in these post too because they made sense to hold information. I made sure that everything would be easy to replace with their own pictures for the template I created. Especially since they said that they had limited experience with design softwares.
