PROJECT OVERVIEW
This Typecon Booklet was created for my final for Typography . We were assigned to create a booklet for the real event that happens every year called Typecon. The main goal for this assignment was to learn how to organize text well and create hierarchy. The first thing I focused on was the text, really trying to nail the hierarchy, and perfecting pages. I was super attentive to small details all the way down to even the page folios, I believe that even the smallest details are important to make a great design, and they end up being really rewarding. I think my ability to pay attention to these small details made this book a success.
Next, I focused on perfecting color and design elements that draw your eyes around the page. I decided to use these wavy linear elements to add interests into the pages. The cover was based off a previous project before, where we had to make posters for this event.
Overall, this project really helped advance my typography skills, and this was in my sophomore year and I still think that this project pushed me to be where I am today.
